Dallas County 4H Shooting Sports

The focus of all 4-H programs is the development of youth as individuals and as responsible and productive citizens.  The Dallas County 4H Shooting Sports program stands out as a strong example of such development.  Youth learn marksmanship, the safe and responsible use of firearms, the principles of shooting sports and more importantly the development of self esteem, confidence and responsibility to their community. The activities of the program and the support of caring adult leaders provide young people with opportunities to develop life skills while having fun and learning a unique sporting skill...

Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where youth can grow and develop life skills.   Whether that be in the educational classroom settings, the shooting range, the competition events or out in the hunting field we strive to create an environment which is educational and self motivating while developing leadership, citizenship and life skills.
